Tell me the idea in a few sentences.
The first call is free. Share the gist, not the secret details, until we have talked.
01
Tell me the idea
A few sentences, your name, and anyone else who worked on the idea or owns it. I check that I am not already working for someone with a competing interest. Keep the full how-it-works until that check is done.
02
Free first call
We talk for 30 minutes. If the idea looks worth pursuing, I suggest the next step, usually a search for earlier patents and products. If the change is not new, or would be obvious to someone in the field, I say so before you pay for a filing.
03
Sign and start
You sign a short agreement and pay the first fee. The agreement says what I will do and what I cannot promise.
04
Show me how it works
You describe the product and send photos or a sketch. Dates matter: when you thought of it, and whether you have already shown it or offered it for sale.
05
Read the draft
You get the patent written in a structure you can follow. You check that I understood the product before anything is filed.
06
File, then stay with it
I file with the patent office and watch the deadlines. When the office writes back, I handle the reply for a fee I tell you in advance.
